The Austral Performer HVAC unit is our mid-sized offering and is perfect for many aplications including large cars, off-roaders, small vans, construction, marine applications and many more. The unit features a lightweight double squirrel cage fan with 3 speeds, 4x 60mm outlets, a drip tray and a built in anti-freezing thermostat to prevent icing.
For the most efficient operation the unit should be mounted within the vehicles interior so that it may recirculate the interior air.

Wiring Information
Please wire up the AC unit as per the wiring diagram below, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
Condenser Fan: If you are mounting your condenser radiator in front of your engine radiator then you may use your existing electric engine radiator fan to cool the condenser when required. You simply need to 'T' into the trigger feed on the electric fan relay. If you are installing this into a classic car with a viscous fan then you will need an additional electric fan on the front of the condenser.
Fan Control Switch: The fan uses an onboard resistor pack and a 4 position fan switch is required to operate.
The purple Thermostat wires are not polarity sensitive and it does not matter which way around they are connected.

ATTENTION
- Please note that a corrosion inhibitor such as glycol or anti-freeze should be used to prevent corrosion and prolong the useful life of all components used in the vehicles cooling system.
- You will need to run an ON/OFF or Bypass Water Valve to prevent hot water flowing through the heater core when the air conditioning is activated.
- This is not a complete kit, you will require a 4 Position Fan Switch, A/C ON/OFF Switch, a Condenser radiator, a Compressor, a Receiver/Dryer Bottle, Binary or Trinary Switch, Hoses etc.
